Confession: I spent quite a fair bit of time reading this during class today. It was too chi kik la! Damn suspense!! Started last night and finished it before class was over.

Yah so it's some Da Vinci code kinda thing where they figure out riddles and decipher stuff and amaze you. And and and!!! You know what!! Hahaha it's such a coincidence.. this book makes quite a number of references to Italy and the Renaissance because that's when the Hypnero was written, AND I KNEW WHAT IT WAS TALKING ABOUT! The Medici, and Savaronola, etc.. because of the Michelangelo book!! Hahahha. I was so excited reading the stuff they were explaining in the book that I already knew woohoo.. it's not often it happens.

Also Nix it explained what the Princeton eating clubs were hehe! Are you in one of them? :D Quick Nix figure out an ancient puzzle and make me a character in your book! :D:D

What I personally think of the book- I don't like the writing style much or any of the characters but I enjoyed the mystery and suspense, hmm and I would probably like it more if it were real.

Hehehehe. Oookay. Hello. Don and I are ok again! We were in a bit of a fight the past 3 days.. which is pretty long for one of our fights I think. It feels so weird talking to him after not talking to him for 3 days. Seems like it's been ages! I'm glad we're talking again.

He's been sick though.. poor boy. Sleeping now. Called me a while ago but I couldn't talk to him because I was on a drive with my brother behind the wheel. His driving exam is tomorrow and he's not quite near competent yet, so it would've been a little dangerous to not pay attention to him driving. I'm sure he's doing better than I was when I started though- I was chicken shit. I know now how my mom felt teaching me. My heart jumped a few times- when he drove extremely near to this parked car that I thought we were gonna scratch for sure, and whenever he made sharp turns because he likes to stick to the passenger side of the road and it always seems like we're gonna crash into the curb.

Things I said most in the car:
'Keep right keep right keep right'
'Just release the clutch slowly'
'More oil, more oil, press more...'
'2nd gear...'

Today was the last of my three consecutive days of 9am-6.30pm classes with Mr Marcus. Rumour rumour (something he says) is that he's going to stop lecturing and leave Sunway next year to work in another industry. He's not allowed to tell it to us outright, something about work ethics and loyalty to his boss, Mr Teo, but he dropped a number of hints in class today.

For one, he brought a digicam and took pictures of us and then told a student to take pictures of him pretending to teach us. It was so funny. He picked up some notes and a marker pen and stood in front of class posing while we laughed. After that he said that he still had 162 pictures worth of memory left and that he'd like it if any of us wanted to get a picture with him after class. I wanted to!!! but I was alone in the class and it would've been weird going up to him all by myself...

I'll miss him. I don't think he's great at teaching his subject, but I really like him as a lecturer. He cracks me up.

He doesn't like using the whiteboard much so he uses the computer and projector. He's fond of Paint. Teehee.

His cute shark! I couldn't resist taking a picture of it. Hahaha. The big shark is supposed to be IBM and that tiny fish in front of it some other small company. He said that the shark wouldn't care if the little fish tried to expand it's market share because it was so small it wouldn't affect the shark at all.

You can't really see it here but he's actually in the middle of the rows of seats. He was checking a piece of work we were supposed to do and he realised it was unfair that he only always looked at the work of the people sitting at the end of rows and at the front and back because that's where he can reach to pick up papers, so he walked to the front of the hall and climbed over the first table row so that he could get to the middle people. Then he climbed to the 2nd row.. and the 3rd.. and a few more. Hahaha. Really funny.


Here he's standing on a chair because he said he was too short to reach the top of the board. He's the tallest among Mr Goh, Menon and Mr Teo and he commented about their heights in complaining about the board.


He likes to make the class vote on stuff like which answer we think is right and always not everyone votes, so he made us write down our answer on paper



















and hold it up for him to see. I really like how he never complains about us and how he makes a joke out of everything as opposed to Menon who screams at us when we don't give her the response she wants.

I respect that he's NEVER moody, never completely serious and never naggy. I hated him when we first met him in in 1.3 2 years ago but somehow that's changed entirely. I'll miss you Mr Marcus!

The Agony and The Ecstasy

A biographical novel of Michelangelo.

I finished this a few days ago. Picked it out in the Sunway Library one day during one of my many breaks from studying. It was a good read.. I liked that I learnt though reading it in a way that wasn't boring, about Michelangelo and his works, about Florence and history.

I read it between chapters of my P1/P2/P3 and it was so interesting that it always made me unsleepy after the breaks I took by reading it, and at one point halfway through the book I wished that it would never end; knowing that impossible though I considered reading it again from the start once I was done with it the first time.

I didn't. Hahaha. 3/4s through it I got impatient and rushed through the rest of it. Hehe am so excited about Italy now.. I'll be able to look at the art knowing how much skill and effort went into producing them and be able to tell Michelangelo's works!

Fatty

Hello hello.. today was an ultimate lazy day. CJ had an exam in the morning, so no breakfast. I thought I'd be able to get up early cos I've been getting up at 6.30am the past days I've had breakfast with him but I thought wrong. I turned the alarm off and went on sleeping until it was 9am. Studying and exercise are 2 things that NEVER get me up. We've been to Mosin, Ismail, Jin Xuan Dimsum and Sun Yau Tak Teng so far. Don't know where else to go.


I was in this queue for 20 minutes one morning, buying nasi lemak that CJ wanted from a lorong in Taman Tun.

Sigh I hate studying. Could go on about how much I hate it and the misery I feel at having to force myself to read P1/P2/P3 everyday and at thinking about this misery lasting another month, but I think it best I don't spread the miserableness.

London Day 2

Hmm, Sorry Baby for not updating so long but i've been a bit busy with studies.. Have to catch up, reading week was suppose to read but i ended up spending the whole week going for a holiday... LOL... came back with so much to do.. OMG.. later i have to do another seminar then continue with my assignment.. U study hard oso ok baby?? I MISS U OVER HERE.. <3..

London Day 2

I try my best to remember what happen ok??

Basically, Jin Kuan, Rabbie,Soo Jin, Heng, Isaac, Alicia, Her mom, and Me went to London together.. But we stayed separately, Alicia, the mom and Heng stayed at her auntie's place, Isaac stayed at his fren's house and Soo Jin the same. Jin Kuan, Rab and Me stayed at Jin Kuan's frenz house which i introed above, Voon Yuan.

For the 2nd Day, we went to oxford street, leicester square again in the afternoon, and Waterloo at night for the night view of the London Eye, Big Ben and the Parliament. Big Ben is part of the Parliament for those who are confused. Parliament has a clock tower called Big Ben.. hehehe..

not much actually, jus a long street with a lot of shops, like dorothy perkins, GAP, Nike, their NIKE is nice though, its called NIKE TOWN. sorry baby no picture, but when u comin i sure bring u go see see wan,.. hehehe love u baby.. lol.. yea oxford street is like moderate brands, bond street is the higher end wan like ted baker, Hilfger and all.. Regend street i think its LV and Gucci... not really sure... heard from someone..

Actually we went to Oxford street is not only to walk around.. Its also to FIND RAB's PHONE... bitch bring 3 guys go walk around hahahaha..half day spent just to find her PHONE.. she finally got it.. and she was very happy.. but kept complaining no money.. zzzz...wat the hell...

So, since its nearing winter, 4.30 the sky is already dark.. We then decided to go to Leicester Square where the Chinatown is to grab some Malaysian Food.. Since we are passing by Picadilly Circus we decided to walk instead of getting down to the Tube..its not really a circus.. jus a T-junction name.. LOL...this is where all the theatres are located..

London Day 1

Yeah well, I went to London during my reading week.. tats one thing i love about law.. its full of holidays.. we have reading week as starter, xmas holidays 3 weeks, easter holidays 1 month.. omg... so much holidays. Anywayz, London seems like a prefect place to go since im in the UK.. I should at least visit UK's capital.. This was the first station i arrived.. Jin Kuan's fren picked us up at the station, then the ice breaking since im staying over at his place, gotta be polite n friendly, ppl say i used to be arrogant and too cool before they know me well. Im actually a very friendly, loving, caring, helpful fren. Dun u all agree??hehehe. OK. anywayz he was very shy. Din really talk much..His name is Voon Yuan.. so similar to mine.. in the end we got a bit closer n started talking more.. towards the end.. he is a very hospitable host, he even cooked pineapple pork, "fu yong" egg and BAH KUT TEH.. zomg.. n it was nice as hell.. homecooked food.. this is him btw and jin kuan is on the left.


The 1st day was short because we spend most of our time on the train to London which takes about 5 hours from our kampung Aberystwyth, even the name is so hard to pronounce.

Oops, actually before we reach earl's court station, we went to Leicester Square to meet up with Jin Kuan's fren again. He has a lot of frenz. Story to tell, when i came out from the station, the first thing i saw was pickpocket in action. 2 WOMEN, ethnic race, took a wallet from 2 other girls which look like tourist with their luggage and all. Initially I tot they were frenz jus fooling around, the tourist turned and shouted at them "GIVE IT BACK NOW!!!". The thieves acted as tho her wallet fell on the floor and they tried to be good people.. OMG.. LOL.. then i told jin kuan n rab to zip up their bags and pouches and i quickly moved my wallet from the back to the front.. SCARY...

We then met up with JK's fren and had supper in a hong kong restaurant, chinese meals usually cost around 4-7 pounds per portion, but their portion is super size to accomodate europeans i think, so it was quite worth it.


After supper, we headed to Earl's Court station to meet with Voon Yuan.



Our 2nd station is called Earl's Court station, which is very near Imperial College, very famous and expensive.LOL. Voon Yuan and his friends never heard of Aber Uni. how sad was that.. We reached about 11 in Earl's Court, went back and slept for the next day. Tats really all about the 1st day.. Oh yeah n i called my Jox before i slept hehehe..oops

This afternoon I went to Ikano to get some photos developed for my mom. They told me they'd be ready in half an hour so I walked around to pass the time.

I hadn't meant to buy anything (haven't shopped in ages- UK fund!) but by the end of an hour I'd bought 2 pairs of shoes and a shirt. The best part of it is that the 3 items cost me less than RM50 in all. People who know me well will know the sort of extreme happiness I get out of making deserving buys like these. I am a super cheap shopper.
